Through a partnership with Diamond Vogel Paint of Orange City, Iowa, groups can receive paint for community enhancement projects and parks.

The Paint Iowa Beautiful program is administered by Keep Iowa Beautiful with the paint provided by the Diamond Vogel Paint Company. The program provides free paint to various community projects throughout Iowa.

In its 20-year partnership with Keep Iowa Beautiful, Diamond Vogel has awarded enough paint to cover over five million square feet of surfaces for 1,438 community projects in Iowa; many of those surfaces have been in Jasper County.

In its 2024 grant cycle, the Paint Iowa Beautiful program provided paint for four projects in three communities in Jasper County:

  • Fire hydrants, crosswalks, parking stalls, and manhole lids in Baxter.
  • The Growing Greatness Learning Center in Baxter.
  • The exterior, including the Mingo sign on the roof, of the community’s historic storage shed in Mingo.
  • The concession stand at Ballfield Park in Sully.

The online grant application is due Friday, February 14, 2025.
