Iowa State University Extension to Present Grant Writing Workshop

Marion County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will present a workshop on writing grant applications on Wednesday, November 20, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The workshop will be held in person at Marion County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach at 210 N Iowa Street in Knoxville.
Grant Writing 101 is designed for representatives of nonprofits, local government, schools, and community volunteers. The workshop will provide a thorough overview of the grant writing process, from finding appropriate grant opportunities to submitting successful grant applications.
Lindsay Henderson, an Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Community Development Specialist, will present the workshop. She will guide workshop participants in exploring various public and private funding sources and provide tips on planning projects and writing successful grant applications. Ms. Henderson has experience writing and reviewing grant applications and has worked with various federal, state, local, and private foundation grant programs.
The fee for the workshop is $20. The deadline to register is November 18th at midnight. To register, visit the online registration page.
