The City of Monroe Seeks Proposals for Acquisition and Development of a Downtown Property

The City of Monroe is requesting proposals from developers interested in purchasing the real estate at 108 W. Sherman Street for new construction or rehabilitation of this commercial property.

This commercial property will be sold as is. The project must be completed within 18 months and have a minimum assessed value of $75,000.00. Proposals should include information about the proposed use of the acquired property, the schedule for completion of the construction, the developer’s experience in construction and development, and the amount the developer is offering for the lot. The offered amount must be at least $20,000.00.

Interested parties must submit their proposals to City Hall on or before July 7, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. The City may choose to reject any and all proposals.
