ISU Extension Offers Grant Writing 101 Online Workshop

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Community and Economic Development will present an online workshop on writing grant applications on Thursday, February 26, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. 

Grant Writing 101 provides representatives of nonprofits, local government, schools, and community volunteers a practical introduction to finding grant opportunities and preparing competitive applications. Participants will learn common grant terminology, how to find funding sources, and tactics for developing a clear and compelling proposal.

The workshop will provide an overview of the grant writing process, from outlining project goals, organizing supporting information, and developing a strong narrative that avoids common writing pitfalls.
