Registration is open for the 2026 Iowa Rural Development Summit

Registration is open for the 2026 annual Iowa Rural Development Summit, scheduled for April 9-10 at the Grand River Convention Center in Dubuque.

The Summit brings together community leaders, economic development professionals, business owners, and rural advocates for two days of plenary presentations, breakout sessions, discussions, and networking opportunities to share ideas, celebrate successes, and find new ways to strengthen Iowa’s rural communities.

As in past years, rural communities are being asked to bring a three-person team to the Summit. Three-person community teams are eligible to register at a special rate. Interested individuals can also register online.

The Summit is sponsored by the Iowa Rural Development Council (IRDC), a public-private statewide non-profit that supports small towns addressing housing, broadband access, business and community development, and leadership.
