Prairie Meadows 2025 Grant Applications are Open

Prairie Meadows is now accepting grant applications for its 2025 Community Betterment Grant, Legacy Grant, and Youth Sports and Recreational Grant programs. The application deadline for these three grant programs is 5 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Through its three grant programs, Prairie Meadows supports Iowa nonprofit organizations that support arts and culture, education, economic development, and human services. Organizations should apply to the grant program that best aligns with their focus area.
Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grants fund small-to-medium-sized projects with grants ranging from $100 to $99,999. These grants support qualified arts and culture, economic development, education, and health and human service organizations seeking to improve the lives of those in their communities.
Prairie Meadows Legacy Grant awards provide funding in the following categories: arts and culture, economic development, education, and health and human services. The Legacy Grant program is designated for large-scale, signature projects and provides funding from $100,000 to $1 million.
Prairie Meadows Youth Sports and Recreational Grant Program supports qualified youth sports organizations with grants that range from $1,000 to $50,000.
Past Jasper County Prairie Meadow grant recipients include the City of Colfax, the City of Mingo Fire Department, Colfax Mingo School District, Colfax Park and Recreation Auxiliary Board Inc., the City of Newton Fire Department, Jasper County Conservation, Jasper County EMA, Jasper County Sherriff’s Office, PCM Community School District, American Legion Post No 111 in Newton, PCM Music Boosters, and Colfax Mingo Youth Football.
