Prairie Meadows is now accepting grant applications for its 2024 Legacy Grant, Community Betterment Grant, and Youth Sports and Recreational Grant programs. The application deadline for these three grant programs is 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Prairie Meadows provides grants to Iowa nonprofit organizations that support arts and culture, education, economic development, and human services through three grant programs. Organizations should apply to the grant program that best aligns with their focus area.

Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grants fund small-to-medium-sized projects with grants ranging from $100 to $99,999. These grants support qualified arts and culture, economic development, education, and health and human service organizations seeking to improve the lives of those in their communities. 

Prairie Meadows Youth Sports and Recreational Grant Program supports qualified youth sports organizations with grants in the range of $1,000 – $50,000.

Prairie Meadows Legacy Grant awards funding in the following categories: arts and culture, economic development, education, and health and human services. The Legacy Grant program is designated for large-scale, signature projects and provides funding from $100,000 to $1 million. 

Past Jasper County Prairie Meadow grant recipients include the City of Sully, Jasper County Community Foundation, the City of Newton, Newton High School, and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
