Travel generated a $63.7 million impact in Jasper County in 2022

The Iowa Tourism Office released its 2022 tourism data, indicating that travel-related expenditures in Jasper County totaled $63.7 million. Direct visitor spending was $42 million, a 3% increase over 2021 spending figures. The highest area of visitor spending was transportation, at $14.4M. Food and beverage was the second highest category at $8.4 million.
Additional data from the Tourism Economics study shows Jasper County travel generated state and local tax receipts of $9.3M.
