Jasper County Conservation will celebrate the Red Rock Prairie Trail completion between Monroe and Prairie City with two ribbon cuttings. There will be a trail ribbon cutting in Prairie City at Entryway Park at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 8. At 6 p.m., there will be a ribbon cutting at Red Rock Park in Monroe. Bicyclists are encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting in Prairie City and ride the eight miles of trail to attend the Monroe celebration. Riders can enjoy free hotdogs and ice cream after the ribbon cutting in Monroe.

Jasper County Conservation will give away free bike helmets to the first twenty-five kids under 12 at each location. They will also hold a drawing for a new kid’s bike at each event.
