Newton Fest, the weekend that celebrates all things Newton, will feature family-friendly activities for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The City of Newton has scheduled two free concerts to take place at Maytag Bowl during Newton Fest on Thursday and Saturday.
Iowa's premier country party band, Blake Jack and South 35, will perform at the Maytag Bowl on Thursday, June 6, at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, June 8, at 7 p.m., Heath Alan and The Deep Roots​ will be in concert.
Those attending the free concerts are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and are welcome to bring coolers to Maytag Park as they enjoy the free, live music.
