Learn to throw pots on the wheel in this introductory class.
The class will give you the skills to throw simple forms that will be beautiful and usable. The class will concentrate on cylinders that can be turned into mugs or other objects. If you can already throw, you are free to make other forms.
After you have thrown your pots, they must dry for several days and then be bisque fired. Following bisque firing, you will return to glaze your pottery. It is then fired a second time to lock the color in place and provide the shine and finished toughness of stoneware. Following this final firing, you will return to the studio to pick up your pottery.
All the steps required for your pottery are included in the cost: instruction, clay, studio work time, trimming, glaze, and two firings.

The class is limited to students 12 and older.
