Colfax-Mingo Childcare Center Announces Its Ribbon Cutting

The Colfax-Mingo Childcare Center will celebrate its completion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, June 24, at 1:00 p.m. Community leaders, donors, families, and project partners are invited to join in recognizing this significant milestone.

The $3.4M childcare center was spearheaded by the Colfax Economic Development Corporation (CEDCO) and made possible through state grant funding, local fundraising efforts, private donations, and community collaboration. The building includes 9,500 square feet dedicated to daycare and an additional 2,000 square feet for preschool, with space to serve up to 140 children. Located at 16 South Locust Street in Colfax, the center is convenient to the elementary school and downtown Colfax. Its architectural design pays homage to the character and heritage of the historic downtown.
