Van Wall Tech Programs provide free tuition and on the job training

Since its beginnings over 75 years ago, Van Wall Equipment has grown into one of the largest John Deere dealership groups in the United States. It has over six hundred employees and thirty-one John Deere locations in four states—Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, and. Iowa, including a Jasper County location in Colfax.

The company sells and services a wide range of John Deere equipment, including products for agriculture, golf and turf, light construction, and commercial lawn and garden applications. Its powersports division sells and services brands by Polaris, Honda, Yamaha, Indian Motorcycle, and BMW Motorcycles.

Van Wall offers sponsorship to two tech programs—the John Deere Ag Tech program and the Power Equipment Tech program— including free tuition, on-the-job training, and a guaranteed job on graduation to students interested in pursuing their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.  

Both tech programs include a full tuition scholarship for students who complete their degrees. The programs emphasize hands-on and work-based (apprenticeships) training. Time spent working for the on-the-job component of the programs is paid at Van Wall’s standard hourly rate. Students also have the opportunity to achieve raises during their program by meeting set academic standards.
