The Newton Arboretum & Botanical Gardens has 6 acres of cultivated landscape with an additional 13.5 acres of seedling prairie. Over 280 individual trees and shrubs, plus countless perennials, fill the demonstration beds, mixed borders, shade gardens, butterfly garden, peony borders, landscaped pond area, and umbrella trellis garden.
The Arboretum includes over 3,400 feet of hard surface trails for accessibility. The grounds and gardens are open from sunrise to sunset year-round.
