Older, Wiser, Livelier, Seniors (OWLS) Tour of Uncle Jake's Sugar Shack

Tour Uncle Jake’s Sugar Shack, located at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve! 

Attendees are invited to meet at the conservation office first, located at the Jasper County Armory/Annex Building in Newton, at 10:00 a.m. to caravan and/or carpool out to the park, which is about a 20-minute drive east of Newton. 

Greg Oldsen, Naturalist with Jasper County Conservation, will provide a tour of the shack and a program about maple syrup production at 10:30 a.m. 

In the case of uncooperative weather, Oldsen will present his Sugar Shack program at the Armory/Annex Building at 10:00 a.m.
